The West Coast Tertiary Pathways Roadshow Career Expo – 2017 –  This ran from June 20th – 23rd. The 2017 Roadshow began  with an evening at Buller High School in Westport for whanau and the community on Tuesday 20th June. Then with the full school on Wednesday 21st during the day. Thursday the Roadshow was held in Greymouth at the Regent Theatre and Friday in Hokitika

The roadshow gave West Coast secondary school students the opportunity and the venue to meet with training and education providers from around the country to discuss further education and career opportunities.

Over 940 students took the opportunity to meet with tertiary providers and training organisation and academies.

2017 was the third year the expo has run on the West Coast.

Students came from South Westland, Karamea and Reefton Area Schools, Westland, Greymouth and Buller High Schools, John Paul II and Te Kura (Correspondence School) Home School.

The roadshow gives secondary school students the understanding and knowledge of the range of options available to them after they leave secondary school whether they go on to further education or training.
